As part of the Motown firmament with the Supremes and as a solo star, she’s always been a singer who stood out from the rest via her signature glamour, vocals and mane of hair. Ross, 66, has proved her worth as an entertainer, taking charge of her career as both a singer and an Oscar-nominated actress ("Lady Sings the Blues").
