Taste Addison offers a tasty weekend blend of food, music and family fun. This three-day festival features over 60 Addison restaurants serving generous samplings of their menus at reduced prices, national musical entertainment, celebrity chef demonstrations and wine tasting seminars, carnival rides, midway games, award-winning children's entertainment, and more.

Fri., May 20 - 6 pm to midnight $15
Sat., May 21 - Noon to midnight $5 before 5pm - $15 after 5pm
Sun., May 22 - Noon to 5 pm $5


Taste: the Competition - May 6 - June 5
The Battle Down Belt Line
Addison restaurants battle it out to create the winning plate by creating a unique menu item JUST for Taste Addison. Then you taste the entries and vote for your favorite plate online.


Chairs are NOT allowed at Taste Addison. Please leave lawn chairs, coolers and animals at home. You will not be allowed to enter the event with any of the above mentioned items. Thank you!


WHAT'S FOR DINNER?

May 6 - June 5, 2011 at various Addison Restaurants
Participating Addison restaurants will be cooking up special menu items to be featured at their restaurant before and after Taste Addison. Celebrity foodie Ted Allen will be part of the panel that will select this year's Grand Prize winner. Let your voice be heard by voting for the People's Choice. You can cast your vote for your favorite restaurant online or at the Information Booth at Taste Addison.




PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS:



Grilled BBQ Buffalo Chicken Sandwitch
Sliced grilled chicken, hand tossed in our special buffalo sauce on a warm fresh roll. Along with fresh letuce, tomatoes, ranch and a side.


Szechuan Steak Bites
Ribeye Steak Cubed and Fried to a perfect crispy texture tossed in a blackfinn szechuan glaze garnished with sesame seeds and topped with fried parsnip strings.




Carnitas Tacos
A shredded and shopped slow roasted pork butt topped with fresh cilantro and onions, served in a flour tortilla with rice, beans, and a side of our salsa fresco.


Stuffed tenderloin with sundried apples, baby spinach, bacon and Vermont cheddar with a 40 creek whisky sauce served with sweet potato grits




Sloppy Turkey Joe
A healthy spin on an old favorite. Sloppy Joe's made with lean turkey meat and sweet low fat BBQ sauce on a whole grain mini panini. Hearty and yummy!


Monster Burrito with Slow Roasted Carnitas
Monster Burrito filled with slow roasted carnitas, spanish rice, black beans, roasted corn salsa, cilantro, red onion, pico de gallo, monterey jack cheese, and sour cream.




Heart Healthy Bowl
Steak, steak house blend, 3g mix, broccoli, carrots, cilantro, Mongo BBQ Sauce, and brown rice. All grilled to perfection.


Spiedies
Based on a recipe from the Abruzzo region of Italy, spiedies (pronounced speedies) are cubes of pork marinated for several days and then cooked on a skewer over an open fire and served either on an Italian roll on the skewer with grilled vegetables.

Fish Tacos
Three tacos, crispy or soft, with grilled tilapia fillet, served with rice, house salad & avocado slices

Irish Nachos
Homemade kettle-cooked potato chips layered with diced grilled chicken and shredded cheddar cheese and then baked. Topped with fresh, diced tomatoes, diced green onions and diced jalapeno peppers and served with ketchup and ranch.


Salmon and Green Curry Pasta
A salmon fillet seared pan-fry with Thai vegetables and seasoning. Served with spicy green curry over rice noodle pasta.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Cinco De Mayo Big Parade & Festival


Saturday, May 7 11:00a
at Downtown Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX

The Big Parade is the largest Cinco De Mayo parade in North Texas. Come see marching bands, dance performances, school groups, and much more!


Big Parade starts at 11am and ends around 12:30pm. The festival runs from noon to 8pm at Casa Guanajuato, 1002 S. Brooklyn Street.
