Grandstanding gourds are set to make an impression at this annual fall celebration at the Dallas Arboretum. All eyes will be on the Storybook Pumpkin Village, featuring four topiary houses made of pumpkins and gourds, with each topiary depicting a beloved pumpkin-themed children’s story. A great fall recipe for you and the family:



KOESTER'S KITCHEN

1 lb. bulk sage sausage or your favorite sausage

1 15oz. can cannellini beans, drained

1 12 oz. pkg. frozen winter squash puree thawed

1 cup chunky style chipotle salasa or other salsa

1-1/2 cups water

1 3.5oz pkg herb
flavored goat cheese

Fresh sage (optional

A Delicious Fall Treat!
In a large saucepan cook sausage over medium heat until brown, stirring to break up, drain fat. Stir in beans, squash, salsa, and water. Bring to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Serve in bowls and spring with goat cheese and fresh sage. Makes 4 servings. Enjoy!
